Robust and complex Saint-Émilion Grand Cru made from 70% Merlot and 30% Cabernet Franc, grown on limestone and clay soils. Vinified in concrete vats and aged for 16 months in French oak barrels, 60% of which are new.
The wine displays a medium garnet color. On the nose, it offers an intriguing aromatic profile with notes of leather, dates, lactic nuances, tomato leaf, dried plum, graphite, and a hint of cigar box.
The palate is voluminous, with medium-plus acidity and silky tannins. Flavors are consistent with the nose, with an added touch of pink pepper on the finish.
